During this one-day course, you will guided through the process of making your very own pair of sandals. You will develop your basic design and create the patterns. You will then cut out and construct your uppers from the available materials, then assemble your sandals. This class is fast-paced, but a fun and easy way to dive into the craft of shoemaking.

- Individuals of all skill levels interested in having a unique creative experience
PRIMARY FOCUSES & OUTCOMES:
- Providing a rudementary understanding of sandal-making
- Designing and making a unique pair of sandals from scratch
- Students will walk away with a wearable pair of sandals that they participated in creating
OVERVIEW:
- You will create your sandal upper design
- You will then make a pattern based on your design using a standard sandal last.
- Select your materials, colors and other embellishments from a wide range of provided options
- You will cut out your upper straps using the patterns your created
- You will assemble your upper straps
- You will cut and prepare your insoles
- Last your uppers to create your sandals
- Add your soles (pre-made)
- Finish your sandals

- Any materials, ornaments or embellishments students might want to use (at their own expense)
